Human Rights in Afghanistan

When the Taliban gained power over the government & all of afghanistan they stripped people of their basic rights and indulgences.
Music was banned, noise was banned and women have been majorly exploited which leads me to ask:
Why do women have to be stipped of their rights?

This is what happens when men take control.
Afghani women basically have no freedom left. Their rules are so strict and punishment are severe, many leading to death.

Women can't leave the house without a male relative,  a full burka, can't wear noisy shoes and are not entitles to an education! In 1995, thousands of women lost their jobs, were kicked out of school and forced to stay in the shelter of their own homes where many were then abused by their husbands for sexual needs and women's tasks.

Why do they do this? Well it might have alot to do with fear. The men are scared that women will be smarter, have better jobs, and earn more than them. Silly as it is there is now no equality between men and women and women have no rights at all!

The abuse of women continues...2 sisters were recently mutilated on their way to school when a man threw acid on their faces as a threat. The men are cruel and are prmoting unnacceptable behaviour! Oh!-what great role models they are to the children.

There must be some way to stop the Taliban Regime or to atleast help the women there. Many women are opening up secret home-schools to educate the girls and mothers however it's a dangerous practice, and women have been stoned, bashed and beaten to death because of it.
This still doesn't stop the pain and suffering the women have to endure for the men's sake.

The men claim it is what Allah wants, but Allah says love your women, buy her things, treat her well and it will go well for you. So somewhere along the line someone got very confused and decided women were inferior to them. how tragic for them. Go to hell.

  1. Well said Moni! Women should not have to fight so that their rights are acknowledged! It's simply not fair! I wonder how this happened? Why is it that women 'are inferior' to men?
    Sigh.
    Fight the power. =].
